Take me Back…

Have you ever felt so overwhelmed, that your mind is a whirlwind nothing seems to be easy anymore You are running the race, your schedule is full, the days are flying by and you can’t seem to find your control.

STOP!

I am not writing this to tell you I know how to juggle life or I know how to take control because my days like yours are full. I work in a job that requires me to put out a million little fires a day, no I am not a firefighter, but some days it feels like it. I have children with busy lives and a home to take care of. So I guess what I am getting at is.

I GET IT! There are not enough hours in the day or weekends in the months to seem to get things done, the important things.

Take me back to a point in your life when you felt at peace, even for a moment, a place where your head felt clear and you could breathe. A moment when the worries seemed to fade and you could just fully enjoy yourself.

Each and every one of us is different, your “Happy Place” may not be the same as someone else’s and that is ok.

I rarely took the time to take care of my mind, to enjoy the silence or throw on my favorite playlist and let it go. I always was running, doing, and helping everyone else.

Now, I take it well at least half an hour every day, and I take care of ME, its not selfish, My mind needs it, My body needs it, My soul needs it and so does yours.

What does the flight attendant say (not that we pay attention) help yourself first so you can help others. If you are not in the right mindset, you will feel it in your work, your relationships, your health.

So take care of yourself, you are worth 30 minutes a day!
